. Before becoming Principal of
Business Valuation Group, L.L.C. and National Business Valuation Group, L.L.C.,
Ms. Miller was the valuation manager at a business valuation firm; a valuation
consultant at a public-accounting firm in the business valuation and litigation
support department; and a senior field examiner in charge of numerous audit
engagements of closely-held corporations at NBD Bank (currently Bank One Corp.).
Ms. Miller is a member of The Institute of Business Appraisers, Inc. and a
Certified Business Appraiser (CBA). She
is one of only twelve Certified Business Appraisers in the State of
Michigan
. Ms. Miller is one of only fifteen
appraisers in the nation to be granted certification after the initial review.
Ms. Miller is also a Business Valuator Accredited in Litigation (BVAL)
through the
Institute
of
Business Appraisers
. She is the only Business Valuator
Accredited in Litigation in the State of
Michigan
.
Ms. Miller has attended seminars on the valuation of closely-held
businesses through The Institute of Business Appraisers, American Society of
Appraisers, Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants, the Employee
Stock Ownership Plan Association, and the Estate Planning Council, among others.
She has presented seminars on the valuation of closely-held businesses
for the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants, the Michigan
Business Brokers Association,

. Ms. Miller has published articles
on the valuation of closely-held businesses for Michigan Lawyers Weekly and
Michigan Family Law Journal. She
serves on the editorial review board for Business Appraisal Practice published
by The Institute of Business Appraisers. Ms.
Miller has served as a court appointed expert in business valuation matters.
Ms. Miller has testified in settlement conferences, mediation,
facilitation, arbitration, motions, depositions and trial in business valuation
matters.
